Space Shuttle
We
have supported the Space Shuttle Program from the development phase through the
current operational phase. During the development phase, we contributed to the
establishment of Life Cycle Management processes and policies, especially the
control of baseline documentation. We supported technical evaluation of
proposed engineering approaches. We contributed to the design and maintenance of
the Configuration Management Information Management System.
We identified and developed many process improvements
related to design reviews, testing, hardware delivery, change
directives, contract issues, scope, and technical coordination
meetings through web-based technology.
As the program advanced to the delivery and operational phases, we supported the maturing processes and all changes to baselined documentation and web-based systems. Presently, the shuttle is in the operational/retro fit phase of its life cycle. For this phase of the program, we support Life Cycle Management including development of new systems to be retrofitted into the shuttle and changes to existing systems. We have developed processes and methodologies to support multiple ongoing phases of the shuttle program resulting in accolades from prime contractors and NASA.
